Android 10 or newer. Snap Notes isn't available for iPhone, because iOS doesn't let apps float over other apps.
That's the Android permission that lets Snap Notes draw its bubble on top of the app you're using. It's only used for the bubble and its panel: Snap Notes can't read what other apps show or what you type in them. You can turn it off any time in your phone's Settings › Apps › Special app access › Display over other apps.
Tap the bubble on the edge of your screen, pick a profile, then tap the detail you need. It's copied straight away, and the panel closes so you can long-press the form field and choose Paste.
A set of details you reuse together, such as Me (name, email, phone, address), Work, Shipping or Payments. Each detail has a label and a value, like "Account number" and the number itself. Templates give you the right labels for online surveys, job applications, checkouts, payment details and more.
Yes. Copy the text in any app, tap the bubble, then tap Save copied text. Give it a label and it's saved to the profile you're looking at.
Drag it anywhere along either edge; it snaps into place and tucks itself half out of view when you're not using it. To hide it, drag it onto the ✕ at the bottom of the screen, or tap Hide bubble in its notification. Turn it back on in the app.
Android requires one for anything that stays on screen while you use other apps. Tap Hide bubble in the notification to turn the bubble off.
Some phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and others) close apps in the background to save battery. In Snap Notes, open Settings and follow the battery tip, or set Snap Notes to "Unrestricted" or "Don't optimise" in your phone's battery settings.
Your details are encrypted on your phone with a key held in Android's secure keystore, and they never leave your device. You can turn on App lock to require your fingerprint or your phone's PIN; the bubble locks too, a few minutes after you leave the app. Details marked Hide this value show as •••• until you peek, and are kept out of clipboard previews on Android 13 and newer.
Please don't store card PINs or passwords in Snap Notes. Use your bank's app and a password manager for those.
Plus and Pro include password-protected backups. Go to Settings › Backup & restore, choose a password and save the backup file to Drive, email or Files. On the new phone, install Snap Notes, open Backup & restore, enter the same password and choose the file. There's no way to recover a forgotten backup password.
- Free: 3 profiles and 40 details, with ads inside the app only (never in the bubble).
- Plus (one-time purchase): 6 profiles and 150 details, password-protected backups, no ads.
- Pro (monthly, yearly or lifetime): unlimited profiles and details, fill mode (each bubble tap copies the next detail), automatic Google Drive backup, survey packs, fingerprint-locked profiles and your own bubble style, with no ads.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
On the free plan you can watch a short ad to use a 4th profile for 3 days. Each ad adds 3 more days, up to 9 days ahead. If the time runs out, that profile is paused: it's kept safe and you can still see it, but it's read-only and left out of the bubble until you watch another ad or upgrade. Nothing is ever deleted. Which profile pauses follows your list order, so move the one you need most to the top.
Never. Free users see ads only inside the app's own screens. Plus and Pro remove them entirely.
Sign in to Google Play with the same account you bought Plus or Pro on, open Snap Notes, go to Settings › Plans and tap Restore purchase. Active Pro subscriptions come back automatically.
